When forcing the virtualenv to use python 2.6 and then install everyting again all seems to work just fine. Are there any know issues when using python 2.6 instead of python 2.7 on Debian? Have you tried updating your /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/baruwa and pointing to python2.7 instead of python2.6? I have it running on Ubuntu12.04 with python2.7.
