We haven't tried 2.4 here yet either.

It depends how all singing and all dancing the Tab2MageImporter is of course. 
In the README it says Affymetrix, Genepix and Agilent are supported at the 
moment. Batch Impoter currently supports any 
format defined in BASE doesn't it? For that reason it may be a good idea to 
keep BatchImporter going on for a while (unless Tab2Mage can be easily adapted).

Incidentally does anyone know of a SOFT to Tab2Mage converter for people 
wanting to import GEO data?
