No, roles are "bigger" than projects. Role membership controls what you 
can do on the server as a whole. Projects are used for sharing data 
between project members. A project member can have read, use, write or 
delete permissions in a project. The typical permission for a project 
member is 'use', which allows the member to use existing data and to add 
new data. The write/delete permissions allows a member to change/delete 
data owned by other members. The 'read' permission doesn't allow any 
changes or additions.
