We were in the same situation. We transferred there and saved a bundle
by using GoDaddy to renew Consonance.org.
I highly recommend the site.

Going back over the check book records, it looks like we paid $70 in
1998 for 2 year! s, $35 in 2000 for one year, and $140 for five years in
2001. (In 2001, we renewed our domain name in conjunction with SFSFC,
which got us the "five years for the price of four rate.")
There was a suggestion earlier this year about using Go Daddy. I've
checked there and they've got an $8.00/year rate for five year renewals,
and a $7.95/year rate for doamin name transfers. Any other suggestions?
Just a reminder, I am authorized to spend the funds to renew the domain
name without a new money vote.
