Began at   8:06 pm - after our food showed up

Secretary’s report: last week's minutes were not accepted as they were not present

Treasurer’s report: that last week we took in $1.35 & $7.85 the week before

no VP

The President reported he had a wonderful vacation - but is glad to be back & that Further Confusion will be Jan 13-17 at the Doubletree

Kevin suggested we do Hugo nominations real soon now (2 weeks hence) & Dave G moved to amend the WSFS constitution - well, okay - not really

Announcements:
Chris announced a short he made 'Chick Magnet' will be shown at Cinequest this March & that Frank Kelly Freas has passed away & an obit he wrote will be on fanboyplanet.com tomorrow Art announced there's a writer's workshop, Odessey (he had a printout of the details) Mike announced the cast of Veronica Mars will be at the Metrion [sp] in SF, Saturday 2-4pm Dave C announced the Grand Lake theatre will have a showing of the new 'Battlestar Galactica' movie Kevin announced that Firesign Theatre will do a tour and have a stop in Campbell, the first Thursday in February at the Heritage Theatre

Reviews:
Julie reviewed the DVD of Michael Todd's 'Around the World in 80 Days' as glorious and worth full price

Kevin reviewed his train trip to Oregon as worth what he paid for it - but not something for all people, he admits (especially anyone on a time schedule)

I reviewed 'National Treasure' as being fun to watch, worth matinee & Chris follow-on'd that he loved it - & Trey said he also enjoyed it

Dave C reviewed 'Phantom of the Opera' as nice music, wonderful sets, with a few problems and worth matinee

Nathan reviewed Las Vegas & the new Borg 4D Adventure as pretty fun - overall worth full price - and Nathan reviewed the 'Shaun of the Dead' DVD as still full & worth full price

Trey reviewed 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' as he had a good time, worth matinee; Dave C follow-on'd as he thought they did a good adaptation of the 1st 3 books & Chris absolutely adored it

We auctioned off staff = books for $2.50; more books for .75 & .25; a CD for .75 & a DVD back to Chris for $2.00

We adjourned at = 9:22 pm

And the rumor of the week was ‘Nathan has been assimilated. The Borg are now drunk.'
