The next three Mondays at BASFA (January 17, 24, and 31), after the regular meeting, those of us interested in the Hugo Awards are invited to stay afterwards and discuss Hugo Award recommendations. I'll accumulate them and send them on to Cheryl for inclusion on the Emerald City Hugo Recommendations List <http://www.emcit.com/hugo_rec.shtml>. We're doing this a little early this year because the Hugo Awards deadlines are a little earlier this year (the Worldcon is a month earlier than usual). We'll do this over three weeks rather than two because the ballot is a little longer this year (Interaction added a Best Web Site category) and because we have less time between the end of the regular meeting and closing time than we used to have at our previous meeting location.
You can nominate for this year's Hugo Awards if you were a member of Noreascon 4, or if you are a member of Interaction by January 31. If you need to buy a membership, you can do it online at <http://www.interaction.worldcon.org.uk/joining.htm>. The Hugo Nominating Ballot is available at <http://www.interaction.worldcon.org.uk/hugovote.htm>. I'll bring blank paper ballots as well, and if people want to fill them out and give them to me, I'll even mail them in for you. If you can't make it to Hugo Nomination Nights, feel free to write to Cheryl directly with your recommendations. Kevin
