crispies'
[a very late] Treasurer's report: 'we have money'
The VP reported that Frank's hair had been whacked off
The President stated he had nothing fannish to report
Julie moved to do nothing at all (& the motion failed in a zennish way)
Announcements:
Frank Wu announced that 'Star Trek Enterprise' has been cancelled
[some discussion followed]
Julie announced that today is Charles Dickens' birthday
Matt announced all 5 episodes of 'Battlestar Galactica' are being
shown tomorrow on the SciFi network, starting at 7pm
Reviews:
Julie reviewed a review of Dashell Hammett in the newspaper as being
worth reading
Joanie reviewed 'A Very Long Engagement' as beautifully done, but very
nasty in a personal sort of way and a definite downer
Mike Mclaughlin reviewed the San jose Museum of Art as having lots of
interesting art and it's free. Nathan says their café is good.
We auctioned off lots of stuff then; Alison doing much of the
auctioning, then turning the duty over to Dave G when he arrived. She
stated that auctioning was a very difficult job
Dave G reviewed going to Dallas, TX, for work and back as that American
Airlines is selling food now & that the trip was worth the full price he
paid for it = $3.00
We adjourned at = 9:33 pm
And the rumor of the week was ‘Star Trek is not dead, it's just caught
in the transporter pattern buffer'
