David Clark is not on the
BASFA list and has asked me to forward these announcements. Hi, Kevin. Please post these items to the BASFA list -- I'm not
signed up -- and mention these at Monday's meeting, because I don't expect
to be at BASFA tomorrow. Anything that looks like it's in italics (cross
fingers) is copied from the appropriate web site:
1) NEIL GAIMAN -- FRAGILE THINGS Tour - Bay Area Signings:
-- Oct. 2, 7:00 PM, Berkeley CA
Cody's Books Presents an
Evening with Neil Gaiman
Berkeley Repertory Theater,
Roda Stage, 2025 Addison St., Berkeley, CA - $10.00
(ticketed event -- get your
tickets NOW -- at Cody's in SF or Berkeley, or 510-559-9500)
Ticket stubs may be presented once in the theater for a 20% discount on
signed copies of Fragile Things; undiscounted and unsigned copies may be
purchased at Cody's along with tickets beginning September 26. Note:
pre-purchased unsigned copies won't, unfortunately, get signed: there will be no
post-performance signing.
-- Oct. 3, 7:30 PM, Menlo Park CA
Kepler's Books &
Magazines
1010 El Camino Real, Suite
200, Menlo Park, CA
This event is free and open to the public. The doors will open at 7:15 p.m. Between 6:15 and 7:15 there will be a reception outside on the Plaza with light refreshments, tea and coffee. We will have a Welcome Table at the reception for the following: * You will be issued a number in the form of a raffle ticket. We will be
calling blocks of numbers at a time for Neil's book-signing after the event.
Tom Whitmore is of the opinion that Gaiman is mourning the recent loss of John M. Ford, and may not feel like doing more than the massive amount of signing that he's already committed to.
2) TERRY PRATCHETT - his ONE California signing on the WINTERSMITH tour - Copperfield's Books, October 15, 2006 - 3:00 PM Copperfield's Books, 140 Kentucky St., Petaluma, CA (707) 762-0563 There will be some restrictions on book signing; please check back here (http://copperfields.booksense.com/NASApp/store/IndexJsp;jsessionid=aTr71WpTHJgg) in early October. I seem to have found a double-space button to push somehow -- wonder how that happened. That's all I've got. I take it back -- I do have something more, at http://www.lspace.org/fandom/events/signing-tours/etiquette.html. Thanks, Dave Clark |
