neighbor in trouble - check his LJ = Jaylake.LJ.com

Andy announced that the Imperial Royal Lion Monarchy of San Jose is
doing a Xmas show Saturday, Dec 16 at 8pm at the Oddfellows hall on Race
Street in SJ

Reviews:
Harold reviewed ‘For Your Consideration’, a comedic narrative film -
still with the usual suspects - as worth seeing and worth bargain matinee

Andy reviewed last week’s Torchwood as very solid and ‘O my God they
killed Suzie, you bastards. Not really’ - still worth breaking the law
for and fantastic and reviewed the sleep innovation nova form comfort
lux mattress, from Costco online as amazingly comfortable - the way to
go and worth full price

Howeird reviewed Pear Theatre as it did a very interesting show called
‘The Baltimore Waltz’ and says to check the theatre’s website as they do
very interesting small plays & he reviewed moving and changing jobs in
the same 3 days as ‘prepare to have your mind explode’ & it wasn;t quite
the move from hell, but the movers TRIED

Dave C reviewed ‘Retro Pulp Tales’ - an anthology with mixed results as
it’s worth cover price; reviewed a CD as ‘the greatest made, ever,
really - seek this out, I implore you’ about the CD ‘Dead’ the Grim
Reaper’s greatest hits; reviewed ‘Perfume’ [did it stink? asked Carole]
as he enjoyed it greatly and was worth at least matinee & reviewed the
Disneyland Holiday Tour as he doesn’t think they understand what we were
really wanting to see and not really sure it was worth the $40 cost

Bob reviewed ‘Android Dreams’as it was okay and worth paperback but was
the WORST copy-edited book he has ever read [pub’d by Tor]

Carole reviewed Loscon as quieter but she still has a good time and
enjoyed helping to work Masquerade

[evil] Kevin reviewed a short story in ‘Realms of Fantasy’ by Jay Lake -
‘The Number of the Bus’ as very odd and very short

Trey reviewed ‘The Asti Spumante Code’ as the end disappointed him and
it was a reasonably good parody and worth used paperback

We auctioned off books for $0.25, $0.50, $1.28, $2.00, a Woof fanzine
for $0.25, a map for $0.25 & a DVD sampler for $1.25

We adjourned at = 9:12 pm

And the rumor of the week was = ‘Chris has nothing fannish to report’
