The Society for the Promotion of Fannish Interests, Incorporated
(SPFII) is pleased to announce another in our "Conventional Wisdom"
workshops: The Hotel Boot Camp.
The Hotel Boot Camp will be a one-day, intensive look at interacting
with a hotel from the point-of-view of a "fannish" convention. We'll
be covering the following subject areas, from an over-view perspective:
* Finding the "right" hotel for a convention
* Negotiating a hotel contract
* Working with the hotel during the event
* Paying the Bill and other post-convention items
The workshop will be held on Saturday, March 31, from 9:00am to
6:00pm, at the San Mateo Marriott Hotel. Registration will open at
8:30am. The fee for the workshop is $10, which will be collected at-the-door.
Everyone is welcome to attend this workshop -- no previous hotel
experience is necessary.
