Hello All:

Well, I went to the doctor again to find out what the latest is on my
elbow.

Short form: my ulna is not healing properly. The end of the humerus -
which was shattered - is healing very nicely.

So, the very large screw in the ulna is going to be removed, have bone
putty/graft put in, and I'll acquire another couple plates with screws
to put it back together again. A screw that is coming out of the
humerus is going to be removed. However, this is okay because it means
that the bone is healing up nicely.

It looks like the operation to do this is April 20th. Dr. King believes
that the procedure will take about an hour, and it'll be done on an
outpatient basis. The followup appointment will be April 23rd.

Oh, joy, another surgery with more physical therapy to follow. Oh well,
at least it'll be done by my birthday. Kinda wrecks some costuming
plans that I had for BayCon (local Bay Area convention), but we'll see
how quickly I can get moving. I guess that means that I've got to do a
bunch of costuming related stuff *now*, so I won't have as much to
worry it about after the surgery.

Sheesh.

Until later--

Carole
