One of the latest releases from Con-X-Treme. It seems like they always
have a focus on something each year, and this year, it looks like
they're having a focus on live music. If you know of someone who
participates in a band, you might want to let them know about this.
Con-X-Treme also had a press release saying that they've got the
original Battlestar Galactica "Boomer" as one of their guests.

Introducing Con-X-LIVE!
Greetings!
Con-X-Treme is slowly arriving and we're thrilled to announce that the
live music stage events have been finalized and ready to post for the
convention! We would like to welcome you to participate and enjoy
Con-X-LIVE! Con-X-Live! is a live stage area where bands will be
featured throughout the convention! Music, dancing, excitement and
MORE!
Con-X-LIVE! will be presenting acts on the following days and times:
Friday, August 29, 2008; 4:00pm – 11:00pm,
Saturday, August 30, 2008; 10:00am – 5:00pm,
Sunday, August 31, 2008; 10:00 am – 5:00pm.
This year's event will occur over the Labor Day Weekend at the San
Mateo Marriott. Sound, staging and location is primed to support fun,
dancing and a pleasant experience for both the audience and
performers. Check back often to see information on the bands and
performers we'll be presenting throughout the weekend!
Are you a performer or member of a band that would like to be
considered for Con-X-LIVE!? We would love to consider you for a
performance slot. Each act will be given 2 hours to perform! This is
a great opportunity for your music and energy to be presented to an
appreciative audience! In consideration for the time and energy given
to the convention, performers who appear on Con-X-LIVE! will receive:
promotional materials table support in the performance room and
convention badge(s) for the day of performance. Feel free to contact
the convention if you would like to discuss any additional
requirements.

Submissions will be reviewed by our music committee. Once accepted
the musical groups/individuals will be contacted by our stage manager
