Glenn's right.
Moving on to relevant matters, a BASFA member ('twas I!) has won a
Patron membership to FurCon for a story submitted to the Conbook.
Time for me to be a rat-bastard.
Don't try to play the relevance card. This is as relevant as your
conbook award. While this may be abstract politics to some members, it
has a direct impact on my life.
"Yes on 8" is a vote to annul my and Kevin's marriage.

I do not agree with your second paragraph at all, Andy. Matthew
apparently wrote a genre story and won an award at a genre convention.
That is relevant to a genre mailing list. There are many things which
have a direct impact on my life (for example the price of gas, the total
nosedive of Sun's stock, etc.) but which are I feel are not relevant to
discussion on this list and I would expect to be batted down if I
brought them up as something other than examples of what not to discuss.
Are you really saying that anything relevant to any member is relevant
to the list as a whole?
Best,
Glenn
