The problem is that if Prop 8 passes and is upheld in the courts then it is a government law that we are talking about. This is not like the other silly and ridiculous gobbedlygook that many of the supporters of Prop 8 want to have in their churches; this is something they want made part of California law. Prop 8 has very serious consequences. Rick and others have touched on some of them. For no good reason Prop 8 attempts to build discrimination into California law. I have not heard one rational argument in support of Prop 8, not one. All I have heard are false and misleading statements. The BASFA email list had been fairly calm until someone threw their Yes on Prop 8 into it. So I and others responded.
