Hi Techies,
On Saturday, August 15th, Antiques Roadshow will be here in San
Jose. It's my job to find volunteers to help out with the Antiques
Roadshow. Although the work you'll be doing will not be technical, I
still want to offer this opportunity to you if you are interested.
Here are the details...
Antiques Roadshow volunteers will be assigned various tasks
including crowd control, welcoming guests, and non-technical production
assistance. Most volunteer positions will require standing or walking
throughout the 12-hour event. Breakfast, lunch, snacks and Antique
Roadshow polo shirts will be provided to all volunteers working at the
appraisal event. All volunteers can also have up to two items
appraised. All volunteers participating in the event must attend a
mandatory training session on Friday, August 14th at 4pm and should plan
on arriving at the site by 6:30am on Saturday, August 15th. Please
understand that if you would like to volunteer it is a requirement that
you attend the mandatory meeting on August 14th . Also you must be able
to work from 6:30am-7:00pm or perhaps longer on August 15th. Depending
on your specific task, you might be let out earlier.
