Reviews:

Diane went to Loscon 40
and said it was worth full price. She also said something about a $79 room
rate.
Fred followed on he liked Sarah Clemmons's slide show.
Chris G. did three panels and two were on time travel. Loscon
also had the first public showing of his documentary, 5 Cons. One of his panels
was scheduled against it.

JohnO enjoyed going to
the Dickens Fair and marveled at the violin vendor's goods.
Stacy, Mo and I also visited the
Fair.

Kevin R. went to his
first Turkey Trot and had no difficulty finishing the race and will be looking
forward to doing it again with people he knows. It was well organized. He was
93rd in his age group and came in 25 out of 100 overall.

Debbie went to Las Vegas
for her birthday. She and Ric stayed at the Mirage and got good rates. They saw
the Cirque de Soliel Michael Jackson tribute, but recommends the one for the
Beatles. Ric said from a tech standpoint it was great.
Ric said they also went to a restaurant called the Boiler Room,
which had a brilliant steampunk theme and they enjoyed the food too.

Bill read Red Law, by James Lovegrove. In short,
it was Dirty Harry meets vampires. It isn't worth keeping, but Carole wants to
read it before he gives it up for auction.

Carole said that she and
all her siblings had Thanksgiving together, then she and Bill took the Hanukkah
train in Santa Cruz.

Bill saw Despicable Me Part 2 and found it
entertaining. Definitely worth discount bargain matinee.

JC proxied for Beth that Frozen is worth full price.

JC and Beth had a great
Thanksgiving with lots of friends and plenty of games that lasted until 2 a.m.

I acquired a DVD set of
the first season of Barney Miller and
highly recommend it.

Aetheus stayed at the
Hawthorne Place Inn and it was okay for a 1-star hotel.
He also rented a car through Flight Car and it was worth the
discount.

Chris G. said if you see
only one movie, make it Philomena.

We did auctions.
