Hello..
About a month back I submitted a bug I found to this list.. 
No response..?

So I'm now wondering if the SVGGraphics2D is really supposed to crash on
an exception when encoding a 16-bit bitmap? 

I'd sure like to know and if this is not a 'feature', was there a
problem with the short fix I submitted? 

After all, I'm only trying to help here, so some response should be
warranted, if not for other reasons than politeness.
