If I well remenber one of the requirement of the project was to be 1.2
compatible. Unfortunately, it is not always easy and I'm pretty sure
that in the current state some incompatibilities are there and that you
should use 1.3. Anyway 1.3 is much faster and it should not be a problem
to use it only an advantage.
In conclusion, for the moment I recommend you to run 1.3 and we will try
to make it clearer in the documentation.
