Yes, but I had not noticed it ... sorry. Yes, your rendering looks
correct. Its Right to left, has contextual forms, and has the
mandatory ligatures such as lam-aleef.

The notepad one was rendered in Tahoma, which is a sans-serif. Yours
is a serif font, so closer to a traditional calligraphic style..
So, whats up (or changed) in Java 1.4? Clearly Batik should be tested
against the testsuite with 1.3, anyway.
