Yes, to put this another way with current CVS if you start squiggle you should have a menu item Tools->Script Debugger which pops up the Rhino debugger window. This is not available in the 1.5 release.
As far as I know our 'xml-batik/lib/js.jar' is a simple build of Rhino. Why are you trying to roll your own?
Er... probably because I had no clue that Rhino was integrated with Batik...
Ohh, well we include it in our support libs directory.
