Unable to remove event from a JSVGCanvas

I am triing to add an SVG component in a layout editor using JSVGCanvas. It works but when I wish to move my component I need to get the mouse evens from the JSVGCanvas. Which does not work as the JSVGCanvas have its own Mouselistener and MouseMotionListener. Do you know a way to display a static SVG file?   Thanks,   Julien
