I am triing to add an SVG component in a layout editor using JSVGCanvas. It works but when I wish to move my component I need to get the mouse evens from the JSVGCanvas. Which does not work as the JSVGCanvas have its own Mouselistener and MouseMotionListener. Do you know a way to display a static SVG file?

I think you need to spend more time/effort describing the problem. What do you mean by 'SVG component' what sort of layout editor? Why can't you just register your own mouse listeners (both will get triggered)?
What is the basic structure (multiple JSVGCanvases, content in a Canvas). I can't figure out what you are really trying to do here.
There is a JSVGCanvas constructor that lets you specify that events and or text selection should not be enabled, but I'm not real sure this is what you are really asking for.
