Please do it :-). This is completely redundant, awfull to read in a
dedicated folder, and that eats space on the subject line for nothing.
Moreover, this fucks up threading. There are better ways to sort out mailing
lists messages than scanning the subject line. For instance, under Gnus, the
following 5 lines work for almost all mailing lists I'm subscribed to:
("\\1" "^x-mailing-list:.* <\\(.+\\)@.+>")
("\\1" "^mailing-list:.*contact \\(.+\\)-help@")
("\\1" "^sender:.* owner-\\(.+\\)@")
("\\1" "^sender:.* \\(.+\\)-owner@")
("\\1" "^sender:.* \\(.+\\)-admin@")
BTW, I noticed that the sourceforge list manager sets an X-BeenThere
header analog to the X-Mailing-List one. Funny, but not very nice with respect
to the standardization effort that is being conducted on that matter ... I
think there's an RFC about this, but I forgot the number ;-)
