No offense intended.
It is just that a package that relies on BBDB but does not use any
features from AUC TeX belong to the BBDB distribution, not to AUC TeX.

AUC TeX will load the file `style/<name>.el' if the document use the
style file <name>. People can add support for different styles by
adding files to that directory.
