Hello:
I'm going a bit crazy since I can't figure out why I was able to modify
a file before and now I think I'm doing the same thing and nothing changes.
That is, using my BBEdit:
1) I go to my public file on my server and call up the file
2) I click edit and do so
3)I save to the FTP server
4) I click connect
5)I click save
6)the dialogue box box asks if I want to overwrite the existing file
7) I click yes
8) I close the file
9) I call up the document on my web browser
10) There is no change in the document (this despite that I have done
the "refresh').
11) I go back to the original file in my public-html on my server and
check out the file using the BBEdit view feature and the changes I have
asked for are there but nothing happens.
I've now been working at this for two days and I'm going bonkers.
Anything you can do to help me solve this problem would be deeply
appreciated.
