The other day when I tried to launch BBEdit, nothing happened.
After trying to launch it several times I noticed that there was the tiniest of movements in the Dock, but the BBEdit icon didn't even appear.
I looked at the crash logs, but there wasn't one for BBEdit. I rebooted, and BBEdit launched fine. However, today, the same behavior is back.
