The other day when I tried to launch BBEdit, nothing happened.

After trying to launch it several times I noticed that there was the tiniest of movements in the Dock, but the BBEdit icon didn't even appear.

I looked at the crash logs, but there wasn't one for BBEdit. I rebooted, and BBEdit launched fine. However, today, the same behavior is back.

The only time I've had an issue with BBEdit crashing, it was either because the file I was opening was extremely large or the prefs were corrupted. In your case, I'm guessing deleting the prefs would fix it.

That wouldn't exlain this behavior, I don't think, since BBEdit doesn't ever actually crash, it just fails to launch. There is no crashlog. There is no 'The Application "BBEdit" has crashed' dialog. There is nothing, that I can see, to indicate a problem. It also doesn't explain it launching after a reboot, but not subsequently.

Am I looking in the wrong place? Is there any other log file that BBEdit might write to? Or that the system would write to?
