This is actually what I thought the 'workspaces' were before
I had documentation. (that's the problem with beta testing--
no documentation when you get it).
Someone posted an Applescript to the list which would save
the current windows, and could late re-open them all, but
it only had one buffer. (and it didn't like restoring if
you had saved state with an unnamed file)
So um ... it's possible, but I don't know enough Applescript,
and I've been too busy lately to take the time to learn enough
to do it.
