The real problem with JavaScript is that most of the people that write code
with it — especially in the beginning — are not programmers. So, there were
no good examples for people to follow.

That has finally started to change. Now there are professional, top-notch
programmers writing libraries for public use. Stuff like prototype.js (and
its haggers-on like scriptaculous), YUI (the Yahoo UI lib), and Dojo are
changing the way javascript is seen and used.

I could go on for ages about this stuff. If act, I recently *did* go on at
length about a problem with many JavaScript apps, and a solution.
