Hi all ...
First of all, I should preface by stating this is the first time I've ever
had a 'problem' with BBEdit. It's run 24/7 on my machine for ... well,
years. :-)
When I updated to 8.5.1 I encountered a strange but rather annoying issue.
Normally, I'm able to ftp to my server [via FTP browser] no problems at all,
and work on several files at once.
Unfortunately, I would be working and get an occasional wristwatch, sort of
like BBEdit was 'thinking' about something before it did it. This generally
occurred when I had a page open on the server, and was not doing any
editing.
Worse, is I often found myself having to bail from the server after
double-clicking on a file(s) {or using the open button} from the FTP
Browser. BBEdit would get the dreaded beach ball and hang, leaving me no
choice but to force quit.
It got so bad I ended up going back to 8.5 just so I could work. :(
Running 8.5 does not have this problem, and works perfectly.
Is anyone else running into this?
