According to page 341 (Appendix B) of the BBEdit User Manual,
option-double-clicking on a term should look up the selected word
in the appropriate programming reference. But it doesn't seem to
do anything on my system (Mac OS X 10.4.8 and BBEdit 8.5.1). Is
this working for anyone else?
I don't understand your question, but please don't hijack another
thread ("Re: Formatting and Include") to post a new question.
Instead of using "reply" click on the list address in an email and
choose "New message".
Yeah, I think I did hit reply from another thread. But I thought
changing the subject line would start a new thread. Is this not the
case? It seems to have started a new thread in the list archives
and shows up as a new thread in Mail.app too. Anyway, sorry, didn't
mean to hijack.
It doesn't show up as a new thread in mail.app, that's the trouble.
As for my original question, I'm simply looking for confirmation
from other users that the option-double-click feature to look up
the selected term is indeed broken. I don't know if there's a
problem with my set up or if this is a bug.

Wow, that's a cool feature. Too bad it doesn't appear to work...
well, it seems to work if I select, rclick, and then choose "Find in
Reference" from the contextual menu, but option+double-click doesn't
seem to do anything.

You too will get old. And when you do you'll fantasize that when you
were young prices where reasonable, politicians were noble, and
children respected their elders.
