I've looked high and low for a preference to set the path to a user
dictionary and cannot find it. The Forget and Learn buttons are
disabled in my spelling panel. I'm guessing that it does not know
where to find the dictionary (despite offering suggestions for
misspelled words).
The dictionaries in ~/Library/Application
Support/BBEdit/Dictionaries are all owned by me with read/write
perms. The most recently modified was in 2000 and the oldest was
1995!

Science Dictionary
Post Office Dictionary
Pharmaceutical Dictionary
Name Dictionary
Medical Dictionary
Legal Secretary Dictionary
Legal Dictionary
French Dictionary
Dutch Dictionary
British Dictionary
American Dictionary
Biblical Dictionary
Curiously, the dictionaries listed above are not in the pop-up
selector of the spelling panel, whose dictionaries are all specific
languages.
Anyway, how do I enable Learning and forgetting?
I thought those commands only worked for one file,
~/Library/Spelling/en (the Cstrings-format file).
This is one area where Macs suck. :(
