I've a simple question and I'm sure that I saw it before, but I cannot find it in the list. I've recently upgraded to 8.6.2 and entered my license number, a large, grey, all-caps "THANK YOU!" flashes, but the option under the Apple to "Enter License Number" has not disappeared. Despite a quit and even a reboot of the computer. How do I get rid of that option?
The simple answer is you don't. Per a previous posting from Barebones, this item is intentionally not grayed out or hidden after entering your license number. It was left this way so that you could easily determine the license number from BBEdit. If you select the menu item again, you will see the license number is displayed.
