Did you set the file to a "Strings file"?
Hi Dennis - thanks - I had entered the filename suffix, .spt, into
the Languages preferences of BBEdit and designated it as a strings
file, so I thought that the program would know it was a strings file.
(I should probably say that I do not really know what a "strings
file" per se is-- I chose it because it seemed the most like "text
file". Basically I am editing text files containing commands that I
am sending to an applet on an html page.)
Either by saving it as Strings
file or setting the selection at the bottom of the window, third
item from
the left.
Aha - making the selection at the bottom of the window does it. Hurrah!
...but will I have to do this every time I create a .spt file?
Thanks for your help,
Frieda
