Thanks. This led to two possible solutions. However, I am still a bit puzzled because other applications I use do not flip back to the space where the finder is located when I do a save. To me this happens only with BB-Edit.

Oh well, a workable solution is to assign BB Edit and the finder to the same space.

Also, I just discovered that if I have a finder winder in space 2 along with BB-Edit, I remain is space 2. It appears, therefore, that BB-Edit requires a finder window to be in the same space to operate normally in this regard.

Anyone have a similar experience or better yet a solution?

Hello:
Excuse me my spelling mistakes, but I only know english enough to understand your problem. The solution is assign the Finder to all spaces. See how to do (it's no obvius) in <http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20071027130921428 >)
