That's correct; when you explicitly assign an app to a space, actions related to that app (such as opening a file) should occur in the designated space, and when I've tested this with BBEdit, everything has worked as expected. Since Spaces is responsible for managing where windows go when it's active,please try relogging and see if that makes any difference; if not, please send a note to support so we can investigate further. >Additionally, when I switch to another app and back, the only thing >that remains in BBEdit in space #5 is the Documents Drawer. This specific problem (drawers getting detached from their parent windows) is due to a bug in Leopard. Apple is aware and (hopefully :) this will be corrected in a future system update.
