For this, I use BBEdit's Disk Browser. It's not the Finder, but I use it a lot. It's searchable, you can copy from it, and I can use it in OS 10.3.9.

This is the primary reason I'd want a BBEdit specific plugin... you can get color syntax through the option dennis suggested, but I'd specifically like things to look just like they do in BBEdit only within that QL frame.
