It seemed easy to write a script that tells Finder to create a folder at the 
current disk browser's location, but it doesn't seem to be possible to get the 
path of a disk browser window. The file property doesn't exist for that kind of 
window. It could be parsed out of the window title but that seems like a rather 
ugly hack.

Another script could be used to ask for a file name and create a new file 
(using the shell command touch) at the location of the current disk browser or 
document and then open the file in BBEdit - that would be very handy, I think 
I'll try that. "New Text Document Here".
