Hi,
Several of us in my office have a weird problem with BBedit. It's an
intermittent problem in that I might go for days without it happening,
or it might happen several times a day. What will happen is every time
you click in the editor window with the mouse button, the editor
window flickers (flashes or whatever you would call it). Then it acts
all screwy, like making you click a bunch of times before it will move
a cursor... forget about double clicking to select a whole word. I've
noticed some times it stops happening if I close a document, but I
usually have a bunch of documents open so it's usually easier to
restart bbedit.
Anyone know what this is caused by?
For awhile I thought it was caused by the AFP server (my documents are
opened from) was going off line, and BBedit got confused when the
server came back... but I'm feeling less like that's the culprit these
days (since it seems to happen even when the AFP server is running
fine).
I'm not sure what version this started in (maybe 8.6), but I keep
thinking the latest version will fix it... but it never does... so I'm
tossing this note to the list to see if this is something unique to
the way we work in my office, if lots of people have this problem, or
if there is some silly setting I need to change to prevent this.
