Agreed. Want the file saved to be exactly what I have in the editing buffer when Save... is invoked. I don't have BBEdit handy but in past versions one could Zap Gremlins to delete trailing spaces, hidden control characters, and other nasties. Perhaps I'm confusing BBEdit function names with those of Qued/M and/or Nisus (was once a great word processor that wrote plain text files).
