I agree with Steven.   I  work a lot with  "Saved Search Sets" and
tend to ignore "Recent Folders".  It's frustrating to check a saved
set only to find that I am searching the previous selected saved set
as well (even though it isn't checked).   Suggestion: Make "Add
Previous Search to Current  Search" a Preference setting that can be
turned on and off.
