What is the magic F/Replace I need to do in BBedit that will let me
paste everything back into excel. Everything I read says use CRLF as
that's windows but in BBedit that seems to be \r and \n which excel
sees as pressing the Return key.
I can't help with the Excel or Access part, but CRLF *is* \r & \n;
CR = \r (carriage return)
LF = \n (line feed)
So your problem might be somewhere else. Maybe some sample text
you're working with would help explain what's really happening.
If there are (hidden) non-ascii characters though they will
probably just get lost in email/mailing list translation.
Do you need to go via Excel? Just open the exported file
directly in BBEdit and make your changes there.
