I tried to convert a bunch of files from ISO-Latin-1 to UTF-8 using a Text Factory. The result was NOT OK: umlauts and other special characters in the file were 'converted' to strange symbols. costed a lot of time to fix that. Would be great if someone could give an advise/tutoral on how to craft text factories / Applescript / Automator / for successful correct converting all the files of a website (including HTML docs with corrected charset, PHP files containing non-ASCII characters ...). to UTF-8, skipping all files that are already encoded as UTF-8.
