I want to sincerely thank each of you who have replied to my
Version Management info question. Your response has been
overwhelming and I am having trouble adequately articulating my gratitude.
I've not used a serious version management system before and I
was hoping to avoid re-inventing the wheel. You have made my
hope come true.
Lot's of info and ideas to filter thru my feeble brain for a day
or two but two or three applications appear to fit my needs very
well. I'll probably give each at least a pseudo trial before
deciding to proceed with one. Rich, if BBEdit directly supported
Git it would probably be my first choice to try out.
Thanks again; you guys are great!
Sincerely,
Jack

If you're new to version control, as I was, my suggestion would
be to get a copy of Cornerstone
(http://www.zennaware.com/cornerstone/index.php). You don't
need to know too much about version control and it comes with
its own self-contaned version of subversion.
I use it for my very simple coding needs, websites, LaTeX
documents and all kinds of other text based documents. Highly recommended.
