There's a big BBEdit Help help book, and also a hefty 378 page manual,
both under the Help menu. It may be many things, but scarce sure isn't
one of them. :-)

In Preferences, under Appearance, in the Toolbar group, if you turn
everything off, everything disappears, until you turn everything back
on again.

There's an expert preference to enable keyboard focus in the project
view. It's in the scarce documentation ;-) -- BBEdit Help has an
"expert preferences" chapter, and this one is in the Projects section.

I don't know -- but that seems like driving with a 2' x 4' in place of
your windshield. How can you navigate something you can't see?

Aha -- if that's what you want to do, sounds like you already know the
answer to that. :-) But if you know the name of the file you're
looking for, Open File By Name under the File menu might help.
