BBEdit version 10.0.1 (3072) of Tue, 09 Aug 2011

Hi,

Firstly, I love BBedit! It's an awesome tool that I use every day.

So... I regularly use the command-M shortcut to wrap text and such with
markup.

Feedback:

1.

When I wrap something with a <p> tag, it puts the opening and closing tags
on the preceding and following lines. Is there any way to make it so that
the tags stay on the same line as the selected text?

Things like "h5" are on the same line... Why would <p> add those extra
returns to my markup? I personally prefer to have my "p" tags on the same
line.

2.

When the command-M window opens, and I type "p", the UI automatically
fills-in "pre". I find this rather clunky... I either have to hit the delete
key and then hit the return key, or press the down arrow and then press the
up arrow to get to the "p" tag selection.

The same problem occurs with the, for example, "a" tag. Instead of just "a"
showing up, "abbr" will appear.

I use "p" and "a" a lot more than "pre" and "abbr".

Sure, hitting the delete key is not a big deal for most people (to remove
the UI auto-filled-in text), but when you have to markup a ton of text for
hours on end, this can be a real time consumer.

3.

I do have several addons installed, so maybe they are affecting how my
command-M behaves?

That's all.

Anyone else feel my pains on this one? :D

Thanks!
Micky
