Hey Philippe,

If you open a file from the Finder and it opens into the front BBEdit project 
you can still type Cmd-Opt-O to open it in its own window, and this will leave 
the previously selected document and contents intact.

It's not exactly what you were looking for, but it seems like a decent 
work-around from what you're describing.

I just use FastScripts in the Finder to roll-my-own stuff, and fire it off with 
a keyboard shortcut.  Or I use LaunchBar on the selected items.

Another option is an Applescript droplet in your toolbar that can handle 
drag&drop or be clicked on to operate on the selected items.

One other possibility that costs money is Magic Launch.  I've looked at it with 
interest for a couple of years, but I've never really needed it enough to spend 
the 20 bucks.
