Mmm, for one thing, when I do cmd-e my selection appears in Find but not in 
Live Search, although I guess that's probably a preference (is it?).

More importantly: if you paste a word into Live Search, yes, it highlights all 
the occurrences of that word, but as soon as you click somewhere in the 
document, the highlighting is gone. You have to 'tickle' your search (delete a 
char) for it to re-highlight.

So again, it can be mimicked this way (very cumbersomely!), but hardly the same 
thing.
