When a document is made active in the editor (either by selecting it in the "Currently Open Documents" sidebar pane, or via the navigation bar in the editor (or the equivalent cmd-opt-[ and cmd-opt-] shortcuts), the sidebar selection in the "Project" pane doesn't reflect which document is open. I find this confusing and misleading.
I thought I saw this working properly in one of the previous beta builds, but at the moment it's back to the old behavior. Is this by design, or just a bug? If it's the former, it's a design flaw IMO. The sidebar selection should always indicate which document is currently visible in the editor (otherwise what's the use of it?). I realize the selection does update in "Currently Open Documents", but if that's not going to happen in the "Project" pane too, no document should be highlighted at all in that pane. -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "BBEdit Talk" discussion group on Google Groups.
