I have to agree here, this was a *really* bad decision UI-wise. Notification Center is IMO for a very different type of notification and it annoys the hell out of me that I see notifications pop up after each Find and Replace operation. I see i this thread that there's a expert-pref setting for this, but I can't get that to work: still those annoying Notification Center popups. As the 10.5 release notes state: When running on 10.8 and later, BBEdit now uses the system-provided > Notification Center for completion of certain operations, unless Growl is > installed and running, in which case it will use Growl as before. I'm not sure when to expect Notification Center popups, even if the expert-pref supress would work, and I really wonder if Notification Center would be the right channel for those notifications.
